I mean I've been saying for months now that Lupe is a gimmick.

The truth about Lupe: Record companies were getting desperate because record sales were in a slump (they still are). Executives look for a niche in the mainstream market that hasn't been filled yet. Executives notice there is no prominent nerd rapper in the mainstream. Enter Lupe Fiasco. He's about as original as Britney Spears. Both of them are pre-packaged artists with fabricated images created by major labels. Both are gimmicks. Britney was the virgin school girl with a feisty side. Lupe was the nerdy book worm with a skateboard. That's how they were marketed to the public.

Just wanted everyone to know that.

he can do a few.. hes equivalent to a "basketball player", who can only dribble. its all a marketing thing, that backfired with both him, and Pharrell. Pharrell actually cant skateboard- at all. n!kkas a real life poser..

but Lupes alright by me. i dont think he runs the skateboard front as hard as he used to, plus hes a alright people..(although, the whole ACTQ sh!ts straight disrespectful..). the PackFm(sp?) kids are actually good tho. they skated alot before they got a deal, down @ Pier 7.
