no way the wire ends like that... i get what chase was trying to do, but the execution was just horrendous... that show jumped the shark a while ago anyway, its only fitting it ended like this...

i like them both for different reasons.....

Which show do i find pissing me off more? the sopranos.

Which show do i make show i'm home for? Both...the only two things on TV (besides sports) that I stop what i'm doing to check for......

i actually might have to give the slight edge to the wire based on the fact that excluding the 2nd season (which i thought wasn't as bad as people said it was), each episode has been pure heat in my opinion....

the sopranos will give you at least 2-3 duds a season...

The Wire's been better, whether you take the ending of the Sopranos into account or not. Better, more socially relevant stories. The show may not have talent on par with Gandolfini, but it's better acted overall. And it's much more comfortable/confidant in the stories it tells, which you couldn't always say about the Sopranos.

Plus, I'm biased. One of my homies had a bit part in season 2 of the wire.

ive never watched the sopranos and quite frankly just never had a interest too... im sure the characters are interesting and what not but I related to the wire from the second it started, and the wire as far as story is alot more challenging to keep up with and has better satisfaction after you figure things out

well the wire is not over yet. so HBO might request another bullsh*t ending from that series as well.

I like the SHIELD better than the WIRE just because I am more invested in the characters on that show than I am with the Wire.
Most of the characters I really liked best on the WIRE were either killed or sent to jail.
