Are you willing to change? Something I think Black Americans should all see.
There is a website that we all should be and are probably familiar with or have heard of: www.stormfront.org This is a website for "White Nationalists." These are people who are apart of the belief and movement that the white race is being threatened by other races, that their purity is threatened with multi-culturalism and inter-racial birth, and that many races, mostly blacks, are disgusting groups of people that are tainting anything they touch, mostly the United States.
I as a black person have always wanted to see black people rise up from all of our negative patterns in our society and see the same successes financially, educationally, and socially that other groups in the United States have more success in achieving. I am black and I see evil problems within our community that need a great, continuous effort to change these things into positive priorities, family structure, and involvment in things such government, corporations, education and other things that are important in our world.
This Stormfront is basically an insight into the way the world and America views us as black people. It is not the point of caring about how we as black people are thought of, because no racist person's opinion of us really matters. However, Stormfront has allowed me to learn more about black people's life and experience here in the States through the eyes of the racists and white nationalist.
Some of these people are the business owners we never would expect to be members of this group. They are the teachers of our children. The parents of children that listen to the music that we are here supporting. They are parents that teach hate about blacks and other races to their children. Why is this important? One, it affects us in every-day life, both ways. If you are continuing to prove these stereotypes right and adding more confirmation to their beliefs, then they will continue to teach their children these things and believe these things (which are many times true, I must admit). What better way to squash all talk from these white nationalist then to rise up and start taking positive living, financial and educational success from this country?
This country is all of ours. For some reason, these white nationalist feel it is theirs and that no one is expected to be successful except for them. There is a lot here to be earned and won by us as black people and I would like to start seeing black people succeed at things other than fashion, music, entertainment and sports. What if we began to succeed in family, politics, society, finances and the fine arts?
I also would like to encourage everyone here to promote positive products of Black Americans. Whether it is a new business ownership by a black, an invention, and art work or a new charity created. Or how about a new black marriage?
I would love nothing more than for black people to look at ourselves and see that we need to make change for the better and then work together for that change. And for that change to become a way of life, not just a temporary movement created out of frustration or fear. But a change created out of realization, determination, and the desire to get what has not been attained by us in the amounts as others. We are not ignorant like they say. We are not monkeys as they say. We are not lazy like they say. We have only done these things to ourself and actually have taken pride in being this way at times.
I think that we must take responsibility for what we have done to our own image and to our ownselves and this site adds to my desire to see the success of black people in the U.S. Why do we continue to add fuel to this fire with our actions, our lack of priorities and our ways?
I am asking everyone here to look at things with concern for the future of black people in "America." If you are interested in started a thread to discuss these things and how we as black people can begin a new future and see that grow, then please reply here with your opinion. Here is a thread I read that really made me wonder why we continue to allow these perceptions of us and more importantly why we continue to uphold these stereotypes with our supportive actions:
Do these people matter? No, but the things they speak of ARE the reality of our community. A lot of our issues are deep rooted with the past, but it is time to let those things go and to change our ways as a whole. We are lacking many things. I posted this here in hopes for it to be seen by people that matter: us, the black youth, powerful, strong, visionary but lacking priorities, responsibility, positive images and at times, tools that will allow us to experience success in various areas of America.

Like I said, the way they view us isn't important. I found that while reading that stuff, I became pissed at all the years we as black people have wasted. We could be so far along by now. Of course, everything happens for a reason, but I feel that we as black people don't realize what is out there for us and reading the things over there only made me want change even more.
No, I don't care what they think about us, besides, who respects racists these days anyway? I am just using their posts to see the devilish and hateful mind of a racist, bigot and white nationalist.

ANY input here is welcomed. Whether you feel the same or not. Whether you have things you have wanted to say or if you feel that you don't really care. I do want to remind that if you don't care about the future of black people in the U.S., then they damn sure ain't going to care. I remember growing up in the early 90s, there was this flyer in my grocery store that said something along the lines of: "Thank you n!ggers for killing each other, you are doing our job for us." Now, my town isn't outwardly racist or anything, meaning, you wouldn't be reminded outwardly of racism there, but this was there and I won't forget it.

LOL What did you have to write? Yea, it has been a site for sometime now. There are also forums for black people who want to have some unity. I don't believe in promoting one specific race (as these white nationalist do, that's really ignorant), we all can live peacefully, but I am AGAINST the things we as black people are doing to ourselves that lead to our collective pain.
I want to encourage everyone here to go to the public library and check out a book that will educate you on the history of Africa, a book about the slave trade and a book about blacks in the U.S. TOMORROW! We have to see where we have come from, the intelligence our people DO have, the CLASS we had and how we were held behind in the past and how we must take advantage of all that is out there for us now that we are "free."

nah we had a debate about rap music and this white kid said that if rappers wasnt violent and talkin bout guns white people wouldnt be racist (dumb right) so i said the music doesnt matter they hated us before that . so yea i coulda wrote about this to show em but its to late now but maybe next yearr lol

It's good that that white kid had said that because he is right AND he had the balls to say it. That is why I say the image and perception DOES affect us. White people are racist often because they fear and don't understand. The rap image is what they see mostly and because we mirror and emulate the rap image, that is what they see on television AND in person.
to think some of the white people you interact with daily are hopping online to post all types of bullshiit on that site. it's like they lead double lives.

Yea, but black college GRADUATES is NOT high. I agree that having the bachelors is a big change from the past for us in education, but you got to graduate to get that and the number of black college graduates is not the same as black people ENROLLED in college. Also, a lot of black people are enrolled just to meet numbers for colleges, they aren't really ready for college life and getting everything out of courses as white counterparts. That is why we are failing in college.
Not to deny that racism exists or anything, but I seriously doubt that Stormfront's at all representative of white America.
You'd be surprise. As a black person, I experience assumptions of black people and prejudice each day. In fact, I was in a outdoors store with a guy friend the other day and we were looking at some fishing lure and talking to the department associate. This white man said to us, "Looks like we are gonna have to teach ya'll how to fish." You asshole.
So I said to him, "What makes you think we don't know how to fish." His face went blank. This man didn't know anything about me or my guy friend. He didn't know that I enjoy fishing during the summers, pretty much every weekend, that I camp in the mountains, yet because we are black he assumed wedidn't fish, enjoy the great outdoors. These type of white people expect and love to see us dumb ourselves down, to remain ignorant, not to be like them, enjoy the same things as them. This is our land as well.
