Default can dogs really die from chocolate?
my dog just ate a WHOLE chocolate candy bar... now i'm wondering if he's gonna die? or just get really sick?


he'll be 3 in august {dobermann}
weighs about 60lbs {last time we checked}

i'm kinda nervous/scared..... and it's my fault cause i didn't move it after he tried to get it the first time.

My sis has a yorkie that ate half a box of thinmints last month and some Godiva she got from her job. Needless to say he's still biting ankles.

They can get sick and yes they can die. Maybe you should take that lil monster to a vet asap.

Any dog that consumes more than 1/4 of an ounce of chocolate is subject to go into cardiac arrest, a dog that consumes 1/2 and higher of an ounce is chocolate can go into shock and die within the first 3 hours of consumption


You may want to send him to the vet if he consumed more than a half of an ounce of chocolate, if he starts to **** and sh*t uncontrollably however, its considered to late to do anything, thats usually when they are going in shock and about to die
