Let's get right into this episode, which was a special one hour edition, something it should be every week.
~~~ Episode I ~~~
Challenge - "The Reversible Climbing Wall" was the Life Shield challenge which involved male/female pairs on both sides of a rock climbing wall, using various methods of pushing and pulling pegs through the holes in the wall to assit their team mate ascend to the top, swap flags and descend without falling. The male with the fastest time wins immunity from the impeding Inferno.
To start it off, Colie & Alton, get disqualified (20 minute penalty) and Alton's pride takes a hit as he is known as the team leader and best climber for the Good Guys and gets disqualifed out of the gate when Colie drops the flag. Everything seems to be going the Bad Asses way with each of their pairs finishing until Jenn and Kenny even up the disqualification times when Jenn falls from the wall.
It comes down to a time decision where the Bad Asses come out victorious beating the Good Guys by almost two minutes.
Winner(s): Bad Asses (Team), Tonya & Abram (Fastest Time), Abram & John (Life Shield)
Inferno - Davis vs. Danny. No Life shield saving from the Inferno this time around. The challenge is "Watch Your Back," with the set-up looking like the first stage from the original Donkey Kong game. The idea, chase your opponent in a circle, climbing up a ladder, dashing across the platform and back down the ladder, until you lap him. Best two out of three wins.
Once the challenge starts, Davis develops a fast rhythm which would set the tone for the remainder of the inferno. After drawing first blood by reaching Danny's tag line, Davis takes a commanding 1-0 lead while Danny shows fatigue. The second round left little to be desired as Danny was devoid of effort and didn't have enough in the tank to mount a comeback.
Winner: Davis wins 2-0
Aftermath - Davis celebrated his impressive unlikely victory with his team as he was heavily favored to be sent home after the challenge. Meanwhile Danny, who dedicated the match to his mother by writing her name across his cheek, departed the Bad Asses and South Africa. On the ride back to the mansion, the Bad Guys come to the harsh realization that there are only three guys left, Abram, Kenny and Derrick, and struggle to hold onto the people they have left.
~~~ Episode II ~~~
Team Challenge - "Grape Smash" was the mission of the show, which put teams in gigantic wine barrels. The objective, transfer the grapes from the truck into the wine barrel where selected team members would smash the grapes, producing juice. Using only their mouthes, the other remaining group members would transfer the juice produced by their team into wine bottles. The team with the most wine bottles filled after the 30 minute time limit adds $10,000 to the team’s bank account.
Alton, Timmy and Ace sit out the mission for various personal reasons (see Subplots below) and The Bad Asses who went from competing a man down, are now a man up and completely dominate the mission. After the final horn, The Bad Asses have three times the amount of filled bottles as the Good Guys and destroy the opposition, 15-5
Winner: The Bad Asses
Subplots
[1] Tonya vs. Susie starts. Susie says something to the effect that Tonya 'smells like a stripper.' Tonya goes off on one of her trademark tirades while Susie backpedals and uses the world's hunger, death and war plights as defense.
The female members of the Good Guys show why they are labeled the Good Guys as, Susie, kara and Colie have a friendly round robin discussion. The subject? "I Hate Tonya Because..." with each girl listing a random reason why the detest the Bad Ass blonde. Tonya, meanwhile discusses with a fellow team mate her disdain for Susie and how she promises to do whatever it takes to make her life a living hell if she happens to survive the Inferno.
[2] Alton, Timmy & Ace concede the mission all for various personal reasons. Ace, was ridiculed horribly by family and friends for his pale ass and too small speedo after the last challenge (Guantlet II) aired. Timmy, doesn't feel comfortable with his body in a speedo and the idea of grape juice made by feet and ass are in his mouth and Alton claims he's hung like a horse and the speedo leaves little to no room. The Good Guys feel that Alton, Timmy & Ace performed a self-conscious act that was detrimental to the team, who needed this win to swing the momentum back in their favor and the 10,000 dollars on the line to add to their bank. While they claim that this mission won't destroy the morale of the team, the actions and body language say otherwise.
[3] Following his Inferno win, Real World castmates, Davis and Jenn, discuss how it feels to be a rookie and win their first inferno challenges. Jenn expresses to Davis that she feels his team will throw her in a neverending cycle of voting her into the Inferno until she's gone. She also feels that her team will subject Davis to the same fate.
Inferno Match-Up: Susie (
