Last night at the MGM Grand, Eva Longoria
was among the many celebrities who attended the Floyd Mayweather/Oscar de la Hoya fight. While there she came up with a brilliant plan, a plan that would keep one of the most important players of the Phoenix Suns, Steve Nash, out of the game against her fiance, Tony Parker, and his team the San Antonio Spurs.
Eva Longoria had spoken to various boxing fans and professionals at the fight and learned the ins and outs of cuts and gashes to face. The brilliant idea came when she realized that her fiance Tony Parker could possibly keep the star player, Steve Nash out of the game at important moments if he used that big head of his to injure Nash.
Eva and Tony came up with the plan to head butt Nash at the most important times of the game. During the 4th quarter with little time on the clock as the Suns were making a comeback, Tony Parker appeared to headbutt Steve Nash as both went one on one. Tony Parker appeared to have suffered a head injury as the result as Steve Nash soon realized a huge gash on his nose. Eva told Tony that the nose injuries were hardest to patch up and could keep Nash out of the game for a while. She had learned through conversation at the fight that most athletic trainers in the MLB, NBA and NFL were not skilled at stopping nose bridge bleeds as well as professional boxing cutmen in the corner. Perfect.
As a result of the gash, despite numerous efforts by the Suns trainer, Steve Nash was ineffective on the sidelines as the Spurs held on for the win. If Steve Nash were in the game for the remainder of the game, it is obvious that his participation would have had an effect on the end result. In fact, when he was allowed back in the game, only very short and temporarily, he knocked down a three-pointer for his team.
Thanks to the nose injury conspiracy, the Spurs were able to come away with Game 1 of the series. Eva and Tony know that the Suns are a huge challenge for them and the idea to take the "star" player out was the perfect idea.
