The award is called "MVP Award" not "MVP Of The Regular Season Award" and that sheit goes for the other awards too

The MVP voting is done before the playoffs so the results have already been determined they just dont release it till the next round.

If you the Most Valuable Player and take yo team from the Season to the Playoffs and show up big in both (Unlike Dirk did) then you should be granted the MVP award
So my MVP would be Baron Davis right now because he cameback from the injury and took his team in the Playoffs that barely made it AND knocked off the 1st seeded Mavs
