These guys had a MAJOR contribution to hip hop...not just west coast but all hip hop in general. If these guys weren't doin there thing, hip hop wouldn't be half as funky or soulful as it is.

I've seen Gil Scott get his props, Marvin Gaye gettin his, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, James Brown...and now it's time Parliament-Funkadelic get their props too. Show some love to the P-Funk and bump their ****, and if you don't have em then download em here and bump em. The sun's comin out and the temperature's risin...nothin bumps better in warm weather than P-Funk jams.

props, i been gettin all of Funkadelic albums, just got One Nation Under A Groove today. bout to start with Parliament, i been listening to them for years.
George Clinton says rappers are free to sample the shlt out of his work. I don't think anybody's sampled this record but it's easily my favorite Funkadelic track. I believe Jimi is somewhere strumming a guitar in the midst of this madness too:
