i always wondered about this too because I eat chocolate chip cookies but leave the chocolate chips to throw away..

I think the flavor from the chocolate makes the dough taste like that..If there was no chocolate chips then you would have a cookie that tasted like a sugar cookie..

no, you can't buy it like that, it has to be homemade.

as obvious as it seems, i'll include the instruction for you anway: use a basic recipe for chocolate chip cookies and don't put the chips in.

since you don't seem like the baking type, perhaps you can get your ma or a chick to make some for you and fix you an extra batch of the dough to keep in your fridge for snacking purposes.
