Default How could the 360 version of GTA IV possibly be as good as the PS3 GTA IV?

when the ps3 version is on a blu ray and the xbox sh*t is on a dvd???? I thought san andreas filled up a dvd itself, so how can they get gta IV on a dvd when it has better graphics, and I assume its a bigger game.

Might have to pull a 2-disc game on the 360.

GTA SA didn't fill up a whole dvd... Probably filled up about half.

The answer to your question is yes. The real question is: could this multiplatform GTA IV possibly be as good as if they had made it a PS3 exclusive?

Torrent sites tell the story.

Rockstar has already stated that they filled a DVD-5 to the brim for GTA:SA.

Iso size for GTA:SA on Xbox is, for an unpacked file, stands up at 2.85GB
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3360231/..._(unpacked_ISO)

Most of the game size of a game like GTA comes from audio

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x...iofidelity.htm

Quote:
Independent Compression
Xbox 360 also boasts up to 320 independent compression channels. In layman's terms, this equates to a substantial leap in ambient world sounds (birds chirping, leaves rustling in the wind, gunfire from afar on a battlefield), allowing for a much more immersive experience, as more audio can be compressed without the loss of quality.

If you like to think in terms of numbers, munch on this statistic. The new technique (called XMA compression) allows for a compression ratio of 6:1 on the low side and up to 14:1 on the high side. Compare that to the Xbox 3.5:1 compression ratio and you get some idea of its significance.
To answer the question, the 360 version will be the best version of GTA by far.

I dont, nor do I care to, but I know there is no way there would be 15gb of downloadable content just due to drive size, bandwith and practicality

The game won't be nowhere near that big. Crackdown game data is under 1 GB. People just don't get it, they've bought this Blu-Ray **** hook, line, and sinker.

Nice link... here's an excert,

No formal response from Rockstar at the time of writing. But, as ever, don't expect official word until they're good and ready.
That was a rumor that up until this day, hasnt been confirmed. Why else would your link be from some bootlegish site like that?

But you can wish it to be sohh, just like I am over here waitiing on MGS4. I think the chances are about even, w/the slight edge to MGS goin to 360.

I think that because that is still a real possibility, GTA on the otherhand would probably have already been confirmed and would be well known information.

Which it clearly is not...
