Now That Kardinal is Signed With Akon's Label, Will Canadian Hip Hop...
...get the props it finally deserves? Or the cosign that it can compete on an international level. I know alot of you are ignorant to what is poppin north of the 49th parallel. I have been around all of the the states, lived in Queens as a youth during the summers on 5 occasions, been to D Town, Chi Town, Alabama, ATL, and Miami in spurts. And the way some of these T Dot niggas are spittin right now it reminds me of when NY hip hop was really poppin. Literally everyone in T Dot is a rapper or involved in hip hop somehow, from clothing lines to management, production etc... Kardi is very talented, raps and does all his production, but to some here he represents the old school of Mega City Hip Hop. However, he has that crossover appeal that alot of the youngins lack. Except for maybe Drake (stars in Degrassi) http://www.myspace.com/thisisdrake and Richie Sosa http://myspace.com/richiesosa. I have said it before and I will say it again Hip Hop was East, went West, Midwest, and currently South. It's inevitable it will head north. Hip hop needs a new sound (as evident, with the many anti south threads on countless forums and the general consensus within the community that a new sound needs to be heard).
I hope so. I ain't gonna front, with tha exception of kardinal who I always check for & choclair, I don't know a thing about t-dot mc's. I got a t-dot question though: is that circle click still out? rememba I know close to nuthin' about t-dot. I got mad family up there too...

I got a better question, do you think Kardi will ever drop a LP on Konvict? I hope he does, but I don't see it happening.
It will happen. Akon is big in the Jamaican community in NY. Kardi is also doing production with/for Akon. I heard some non released/mixed stuff they have done.
Meaning NY is full of people from other places cornball. And he's born in NY. He's American.
he was born in Missouri and raised in Senegal and came to New Jersey as a young man
not NY
get ya facts straight b4 you try to herb somebody
and it doesnt matter where he's from, this African cant validate anybody in the Hip Hop industry

The Circle is the circle they will always be fam, but will never drop an album together. I am still mad Saukrates never dropped that solo album but the Big Black Lincon album is hot. Jully Black was on NaS' God Son (Heaven). Check my first post to who I think will be next up. There are countless others who are hot, but they would rather hustle than to take this hip hop shit seriously.
You got fam here? You from Queens? I hope you aint my cuzzo
Come check for Caribana at the end of July this year.
