How many of you all are up on "The Unit" Dennis Haysbert = God
My man is so God Damn Through on this show. Plus last this weeks show had no annoying "wives at home" sidestory. I wasn't up on it till last summer when CBS showed all the eps during the off season. I'm telling you if you liked him on 24 and are into Special ops type stuff you would love this show.

Can you tell me if this show's any good? I was thinking of watching it but it's being shown on a really sh!tty low-budget channel here in the UK (bravo) so I assumed it wasn't too great

I'm telling you that this show is incredible. Other than King of queens it's the only thing I watch on CBS. The only annoying thing about the show is that sometimes they have a sidestory about the wives and what's going on back at home, but my wife likes those parts, so I guess they put them there to keep women intrested.
But as of this season The Unit >> 24 even though I love 24 it it's insanely predictible and they're overcompesating with less and less believeable plots.
I've never met a guy who's watched the unit and didn't get hooked.

It is a very good show, but I wouldn't get out of hand talking about better than 24. It's not. I've been watching it since it premiered and have never missed an ep.
The wives side stories kind of detract from the show but it does a good job of showing the other side.
The ep that came on yesterday was insane. Even though it comes on a crappy channel, watch an ep next time it's on.

The show is for real. Dennis Haysbert proves he is a great actor in my opinon. Every scene he is in he demands your attention. The whole cast is top notch. CBS got the drama shows on lock in my opinion. The Unit, Jericho, Numbers, CsI's (except for NCIS & New York) I fukks with those shows.

dont compare it to 24, that's like comparing metal gear and splinter cell-they are too different

Ok, Ok, but yeah last night's ep was so dope on every level. I had just watched it on my DVR and that's what made me make this thread.
Yesterdays episode in HD with the Surround sound on was like watching a cool ass mini-movie.
*Fights the urge to watch it again*

I mean the only thing that can save these type of shows is if there wasn't a character shield but there is and every episode runs like clockwork in a predictable "now let's go home and eat" fashion. The good guys always win, who needs that in the age of edgier television.
