$80 for roses. $150 for dinner: Am I spending too much on this girl?

so for valentines...i ordered roses to be sent to her work...its gonna be $87...and i decided to do the six course meal i was talking about earlier...and that gonna be $150 before tips and tax...so close to $200 for valentines day dinner and ill get her a card...nothing else is that too much??????

i'm also not the kind to buy jewelry, etc - I reserve that for a wife. Its that simple, i dont pay her bills, i dont give her money, when we take trips, we split, she might get the airfare/transportation...i might do lodging/hotel...I am all about having a great experience...plus when we go out...we take turns paying...the roses thing i was mad at because costco has them for 40 in a vases and i can deliver those my damn self.

depends on how close you guys are, how much money you got to spend and what she expects. Only you can say if that's "too much."

different people spend different amounts of money they are comfortable spending on people they feel a certain level of closeness with, there's no right or wrong answer but if you're questioning it then you might be going overboard

That sounds about how much im spending this year. I got a cool ass deal on the flowers, 3 dozen for $85. My chick loves flowers so I got her a whole bunch. And im droppin $170 on the dinner for two out in San Fran. We go halves on everything also, and She got me a nice lil gift so I gotta spoil her too.

You tell us we're not there but here you are asking us if you're spending too much. You know why I will not be on SOHH the day before my wedding asking yall if I spent too much on tiffany cufflinks for my man?

If you have to ask..you're not sure if she is and you're trying to prove something with her. Although my man took my shopping yesterday and got me a few things...EVERYDAY with that man is a God given gift. I would give my life for this man...no dying roses needed or expensive dinners...i have forever with this man.

If you find out she wasnt worth it...(you dont even consider her wifey..) you wasted 237 beans.

Pretty much on point..... Isn't this like the 2nd thread dude posted on this topic? But now w/ $87 in roses added to the bottom line?

Dude's gonna be here thursday morning talmbout "So, all in all I ended up spending $463 last night. Drinks, 17 course meal, flowers, tip, horse drawn carriage and valet parking. Did I spend too much? Grown folk only."
