Default Would you make this Trade? Lakers get Pau Gasol

Im a die hard Laker fan ,but im not obsessed with the youngsters to the point where i would turn down trades to make the team better. Kobe is 28 years old in the prime of his career. Right now there looking like a exciting 6th seed team that occassionally surprises you here and there ,but there still out in the 1st round. Here is the Trade

Lakers Outgoing

Andrew Bynum
Jordan Farmar
Radmonovik
Mihm
1# pick

Incoming

Paul Gasol
Lawrence Roberts

The contracts match up,and it was approved on Realgm.com Trade Checker.

C Kwame
PF Pau Gasol
SF Lamar
G Kobe
G Smush

Why the Grizzlies do this? If you go to Realgm.com he is on the trading block. He demanded to be traded ,and the Grizz are going to make that happen. Bynum ,Farmar to go along with Rudy Gay and Warrick gives them a bright future. No team can offer a better trade package, and that inlcudes the Bulls.

Why for Lakers? You got a chance to get a legit 20-10 player who has led Memphis to over 50 wins multiple seasons without even having a Legit 2nd option. What if Gasol played with Wade or Kobe? He has never played with that caliber of player. If you pair him with Lamar and Kobe ,the Lakers become the best front line in basketball with Lamar and Gasol. Thats a over 60 win team easy.

Naw, I don't like Gasol's history of injuries. Plus Farmar and Bynum's got a lot of upside, and I think the Lakers got a lot invested in Bynum at this point. In addition, Gasol will take away shots from Odom and Bean.

WAY too much for an injury-prone Gasol.

Gasol is way better then Bynum. Look at his last 12 games.

12-16 - 29 points 7 rebounds

8-16 - 22 points 11 rebounds

7-12 - 21 points 6 rebounds

9-14 - 24 points 13 rebounds

10-14 - 24 points 7 rebounds

9-16 - 24 points 6 rebounds

9-15 - 25 points 13 rebounds

9-16 - 20 points 5 rebounds

4-14 - 16 points 13 rebounds

10-11 23 points 9 rebounds

4-14 - 12 points 12 rebounds

9-14 - 27 points 7 rebounds

And the guy isnt even in NBA shape yet. He just came back from the injury. He has led Memphis to mutiple 50 plus win seasons without another Superstar on his team. The pressure of scoring would no longer be on Lamar. Now he can focus on facilitating the offense, rebounding and defense.

Bynum will never be as good as Gasol. Paul has a Mid-Range jumper from 12 to 15 feet out which is perfect in the Triangle Offense ,plus he has nice touch in the Low post.

Bynum's max potential is being more of a Mutombo type player. I dont see him being a dominant offensive player.

Gasol had a stretch last season where he was averaging over 35 points a game for a 10 game stretch.

No way the Griz make this trade without gettin Odom or Kobe in return.
Laker fans should snap back to reality.

Yea he is only 19 ,but by the time he fully develops Kobe will be looking like the current Penny Hardaway. Gasol is ony 26 ,and in his prime to go along with Lamar 27 and Kobe 28.

You can tell by Kobe's comments about Bynum ,that he would rather have Kwame in there instead.

I'd trade any and every player on the lakers in a trade for Gasol...including Kobe...he doesn't shoot enough in some first halves for my liking, get him out of there
