like America used to BE BIG CITIES. People around the world would see pictures of New York in the 1930s and that whole look, with skyskrapers everywhere WAS America. All throughout the 1900s, America prolly had like the Top 20 tallest buildings in the World covered, they were all in America. It was a sign of power and prosperity
Now u look at a list of tallest buildings in the world, and most skyscrapers being built, and nicest skycrapers being built..... ITS ALL IN ASIA

These buildings are really the Middle East's way to "Keep up with the Joneses", even if the methods are harsh.
Atleast when those skyscrapers were around in America, there was some civility in the process of their construction.

true that, hell any of these countries in the Middle East with their richness of oil should do that. But there probably will always be that disparity of inequality

i mean planes have hit buildings before and nothing happened, even when that 1 plane hit the Empire State Building, wut there was a fire on 2 floors or sumthing, it was repaired and back to business
The WTC is like an exception... and especially after that happened, Im sure the engineers are building these new buildings so theres no way possible that a plane would bring it down

yea but that sh!t doesnt even matter to anyone, only the result does
when people go there are they thinking wow people got paid low wages making those towers. Nah, they're thinking damn nice buildings, nice city, nice skyline, etc
They're getting paid as much as everyone else in the region, they're not being forced to build these things. And these types of things happened in America a 100 years ago too, thats why Unions were made.
And Unions were banned up until now in UAE, but they say the government is now taking steps to allow construction Unions. So thats gunna all change (hopefully for them)
