So i thought it be funny to see how people would react or think about it.
Mos def is in tHe Ricky Bobby movie playing himself and hes dressed in Bape or at least a preety good proximation of it.
An he is one of the friends of The Gay Race car driver in the movie. He is the bad guy who ends Ricky bobbys racing carrer. An at the same time is making luid jokes about wanting to **** him.
The actor came up with Ali G on H.B.O
Consdiering how coonish the ali g show makes hip-hop look.
An I dont care if its comedy, when a white person sits there and does that its just as bad as black face and amos and andy. The ali G charcter is vaguely ethinic looking and doesnt come off as a wigger. Its not like he has bright blond hair or something. he looks vaguely arab.
I dont think mos def is famous enough for him to just be a random celebirty at the guys house.
so if ali g ask for mos to be in the movie. If him and mos would be friends.
why would mos rock with duke.
Cause he aint a charcter in the film, he plays like a famous friend.

You obviously don't understand Da Ali G Show.
The point is to expose the stupidity and prejudice of the people he is interviewing/ speaking to in his segments. He's showing how people feel about hip-hop and it's fans, and turning it back around on these people to make THEM look stupid. That's why the show is genius.
And NO, Mos Def did not "coon" himself by showing up in the movie.

A lot of people enjoy things that they also think are silly. And Hip Hop on many levels is that.
I'm sure Sasha Cohen (comedian who plays Ali G) is a Hip hop fan he just doesn't take it as serious as u do.
Mos was probably picked by Sasha but who knows why. It could have nothing to do with Hip Hop and more to w/ acting or comedy.
Mos is not the type of MC Ali G is mocking anyway nor most of his fans.
