G-Unit/Young Buck donating time & money to children, meanwhile NAS does nothing..
GUnitWorld.com: Straight Outta Cashville rapper Young Buck played Santa for kids in his native Tennessee yesterday.
Monday December 19th, the G-Unit member, born David Darnell Brown, visited the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children in east Nashville. Brown paid a half-hour visit to the 114 year old center, which cares for children ages 2-10 from single parent and low income families. He brought along a pizza lunch from Dominoes and toys for all 72 children. Before leaving the center he gave center director Sara Longhini a check for $25,000.
"I was very, very taken aback," Sara told TheTenessean.com. "It's an amazing donation for us and our families."
Longhini said most of the older children recognized Young Buck, who advised the kids to stay in school and be good.
Last week Young Buck received three years probation and 80 hours of community service for a stabbing during a fight at the 2004 Vibe Awards. The rapper pleaded no contest to a felony charge of assault likely to produce great bodily harm.
Community service orders aside, Buck has already established a reputation for giving back to those less fortunate. In September, Brown gave the Nashville Alliance for Public Education a $25,000 grant, distributed through the G-Unity Foundation. That grant will help at risk students prepare for college.
to me I don't care what he did at the Vibe awards, giving back to your community like this makes up for anything he did to some punk ass thug.
Nashville should be proud too
