Tha Alkaholiks are set to release their final group album this winter via Koch Records
Tha Liks are set to return with Firewater after a four-year hiatus. The album will be released by Waxploitation in conjunction with Koch. The trio will then go on a farewell tour before retiring.
"We were party animals for over a decade," Tha Liks' Tash said in a statement. "Times are changing. We'll still get together once in a while to do a song here and a song there...but this is going to be it as far as albums go."
While they stayed away from high-profile guest appearances for the set, Dangermouse produced a track for the album. To date, the group has released four albums: 1993's 21 & Over, 1995's Coast II Coast, 1997's Likwidation and 2001's X.O. Experience.
Tha Alkaholiks' Firewater is slated to drop next February
they gave us so many good albums, it sucks to see them split up but at least its on good terms.
i still bump Coast II Coast & Likwidation on the regular. XO Experience is my favorite album and is always in my car rotation. although it takes them damn near forever to release an album, every album they do release is a step up from the previous one.

i am also looking foward to Tash's Rap Life 2 whenever it drops...
I remember seeing them in a King Tee video. I bought 21 and Over off the strength of their performance in that video. I wasn't disappointed in any of their efforts.
