Default Khalil and Big H, how do I gain strength???

Ive been putting on weight, I remember when Genoocide first gave me some tips i was at like 190, now im at 199(like 2 months). But I have a weak chest, it doesnt look weak, but Im not good at the bench press. IVe been working with 205, I can only do sets of 6 without help. I wanna get my bench up, cuz that should make it easier to improve my physique

What would yall recommend for getting stronger? not just chest, advice on any bodypart would be appreciated.

Nice to know that you've gained some weight, thats always a plus.

Anyway, as far as bench pressing you have to realise that benchpress is a compound movement. Mainly hits the chest area but it also works your delts and lats. So It would be good if you strengthened(sp?) your delts and lats along and your bench press ought to go up. Also, just keep eating, and lifting hard and the rest should come along gradually. We(weightlifters, powerlifters, bodybuilders) all at some point hit a wall whether its problems gaining more muscle or stuck at some weight for deads/squat/benchpress or whatever. Its part of the cycle but you just have to keep pounding 'em weights hard and eating ALOT in order to overcome that wall.

I like using the 5x5 routine for strength gains. Nothing helped me more, and it helped others that I suggested the routine to. Its pretty simple; Pick a weight you can do 5 reps with, but on the last rep you struggle with it. Bang that weight for 5 sets of 5 reps.

The goal is this, if your able to do all 5 sets then next week you'll up the weight by 2.5 or 5 lbs. depending on how ballsy your feeling. Each time your able to complete the entire 5x5 routine with a certain weight, just keep upping the weight.

This routine is great cuz it works for ALL muscle groups and can be applied to any exercise. You can play around with it though (4x3, 3x2, 2x1), but just make sure your using high weight and lower reps.

Training for strength requires a different mindset; you won't be looking for a pump or complete failure on each set.

Well I like to go by goals; when I hit a certain weight I go back to my normal routine for mass building and when I hit another wall I get back into it. So set a goal weight first, work at it with the 5x5, and when you reach it you can continue with the routine or go back to your normal training for a while.
