Let's be real. Common is lyrically ahead of Nas (AND THAT IS SAYIN A LOT)
Common returned this year with arguably one of the best hip-hop albums this year and his best work in years. Be's lyricism is so far ahead of the average rapper that it ain't even funny. And his song on Late Registration, On My Way Home, in my opinion, is lyrically the song of the year.
Nas is arguably one of the top 3 rappers of all-time. He is known for basically being a rapping poet. He is deep with the lyrics and writes many good songs.
But when u put the two head to head, Common takes a dukie all over Nas with the lyrics.
You must be crazy, at best Common is level...this aint Jay-Z v Nas, Com's got lyrics for dayz but he's not fukkin wit these..(mostly unreleased)
Blaze a 50

See I think the problem with Com is that he had that phase where he put out a lot of weak records. Nas was pretty consistent in that he continuosly put out at least one track that was listenable and he had all those unreleased cuts that are hot. But what Com could've done instead of those records is crazy to think about.
Com's lyrcism is way out there. That Chi-City and the Be Intro are just bananas. Besides, some of those tracks are not that insane.

aiite. Damn so I guess I'm the only one that thinks this.
I made this thread cause of some other thread where heads were arguing what would happen if Nas and Com started beefing on wax. I think Com would crush him.
