But at least jay got more money. He worf like 900,000,000 million. He got Rocawear, Rocafella, the 40/40 club and they all bring him revenues of 900,000,00 million. Not to mention his S dots make his cipher complete. His cipher is illin right now b.
900 milli all offstreet clothing company co-owned by three people, a company which was just sold to Def Jam for $10 million, and a 4 million dollar nightclub co-owned by three people.

ey...thats a pretty even match-up in my eyes man. I think jada's the more freaky, smaller, independant version of beyonce.
I think will's better than the jay-z these days. Will can rap about more topics and jay's flows is the same on every song now (ie the black album)
but dont get it twisted though... jay in his prime would murder will in his best day

1. Will Smith gets $20 mill per movie..... and he's done like 3 or 4 movies per year for the past 10 years (Hitch, I Robot, MIB I & II, Enemy of the State, Bagger Vance, Ali, Independance Day, Bad Boys 1 and 2, Philidelphia. <<<<----- That's 11 movies right there at $20 million a pop. So Will Smith got at least $210 mill.
2. Fresh Prince was a sick Freestyle MC back around 86-88. Just download "Live at Union Square" for the Ether.
One day Fresh Prince and Steady B (both from Philly, both on Jive / Zomba. Remember Steady B from C.E.B. ? He robbed a bank with Cool C and ended up doing life in prison???) were both live on a late night Hip Hop show in Philly. Steady B was saying that he was the illest MC and that he'd serve anybody in a freestyle battle.
So Fresh Prince was like "what's up, lets battle right now live on the air"
And Steady B was like "well, lets battle next week".
So Fresh Prince was like, " No lets battle right now, live on the air and let the people decide.....what's a matter are you scared?"
And Steady B was like, "no I'm not scared but, ummm, lets just battle next week"
So anyway, Fresh Prince kept egging him on but Steady B refused to battle him on the spot. So they arranged to come back the folllowing week and battle live on the air. From what I understand Fresh Prince served him the following week, live on the air and there are people who taped both shows, the first week when Steady B backed down and the following week when Fresh Prince served Steady B.
Those mp3s are floating around although I haven't heard them.
So anyway, my point is that considering that Jay Z and Fresh Prince both came out in 1986, I'd say that Fresh Prince peaked earlier and was clearly better than Jigga at one point. Although i'd say that Jay Z is better now. But Don't sleep, Fresh Prince got long money and a few platinum records. I know Big Willie Style sold 5X plat back in 97/98.

I think you should actually listen to the album before you say some dumb sh*t like this.

Do you seriously think Will Smith got 20mil per flick his entire career? Theres at least 5 movies on your list that are not probably not even a 10mil payday for Will, you cats are funny.
And why is it that the Jay comparisons here get worse every week, first Redman, then Ghostface, now Will Smith? Whats next "Chingy>>>>>Jay-Z"?
SMH @ the hate.

Well, lets just put it like this
Independence Day was released on July 4, 1996. It became the biggest grossing movie of all time. In otherwords, By the time Independance Day was out of the Box office by, say, Labor Day, it was the highest grossing movie in the History of Film. That was in 1996.
In 1997, Men In Black came out and surpassed Independence Day. So at one point in time, Will Smith was the leading actor in the #1 and #2 selling movies in the history of film.
1997 World Record
#1 Selling movie of all time - Men in Black
#2 Selling movie of all time - Independence Day
Since then, Titanic and later Star Wars 1,2 and 3 have broke those records. So Will Smith's record no longer stands. But at one point, Will Smith was the lead actor in the #1 and #2 selling movies of all time.
So Grock2727, to answer your question;

I seriously think that since 1997, Will Smith has made $20 million per movie. maybe not Independence Day or Bad Boys part 1, but I think he's made at least $20 million for every movie since then.
So yeah, he's definately more successful than Jigga, ever see Streets is Watching?
