In the entire decade of the 90s I taped 89.9 every thursday faitfully from 1-5AM.I would put 1 hour cassettes an stay up until 3 in the morning tapeing then fall asleep tapeing the last hours......there is no great NYC mc that I dont have ripping it up before they blew up.When I went away to college I would have my little brother tape it for me.I have a collection second to none.Bobbito likes the wierd garbage spaced out MCs.the best shows was when it ws just stretch because he played banger after banger...you always knew stretch was gonna play some brand new sh1t from you fav artist that you never heard before.I would go to the rock steady anniversaries every year an all these white boys would have they tapes playing out they radio .thinking they had iller sh1t than me but I would always have a tape that no ne else had because I taped everything...even those wack as$ call up freestyle bobbito would let the callers do at the end of the show.When stretch got a show at hot 97 in 1996 I tape all his shows until 2001.

no one on this site has an iller tape collection of boogie an the barber 89.tek 9 than me.

plays classic artifacts freestyle over the fuggees nappy heads remix an laughs cause no one on sohh has ever even heard the freestyle.

i would pay good money for some of those tapes......i'm out west, so i didnt get to hear all the good stuff, but i streamed the show for the last couple years it was on.... i remember on bobbito's very last show, he was going through all the artists that made their debut on there: biggie, nas, big pun, ol dirty bastard, etc..........it was him, pete rock and marley talking about all the great moments on the show, that was classic stuff.......

and really theres no where you can get those tapes (i dont think),so they are pretty valuable. i know ughh.com was selling a couple shows from the early 90's a while back. one of em was from fall '93, and had Nas, Big L, the Fugees (all the new artists on columbia) all within the same hour. and mf grimm was there too......

how do u know which of your hundreds of tapes are good? also, do they sound like sh*t since Cassetes aren't that well made?

Big fan, peep the avi! I have an extensive collection but I am not about comparing to other people's collection like I know what they have. lol Especially at 2 in the morning.

you guys eva think to transfer your respected cd collections to cd? there a couple of transfer programs out there where all you gotta do is hook up your tape deck to your pc, do a couple of point & clicks & you good. removes hisses & all that.
