The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the reason why Kofi Kingston is getting such a big push right now is because WWE officials feel that the company needs an African-American baby face towards the top of the card. After several other talents that were selected for the spot didn't work out the way the company had hoped, the decision was made to give Kingston the big push.
It's also being reported that Jack Swagger's push has been slowed down, and possibly even halted, as WWE officials feel that he is not panning out the way the company had hoped.
As far as Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are concerned, they are getting their respective pushes right now because Sheamus is the work out partner of Triple H, and McIntyre is well liked by both Triple H and Shawn Michaels
why cant they push more then one african american wrestler at a time

Even when Hogan was running things, at least you didnt see the Nasty Boys getting top solo pushes, or even top tag-team pushes. Now you got dudes get title shots, which they obviously wont win, just because they're someones workout partner....smh

Its like the WWE realized, "oh crap, we really suck right now, and if something happens to HHH, Cena, etc, were in trouble". So they wanna panic and push the young guys while ignoring the guys who've been there for a little bit. No reason someone like Santino cant be a semi-top character.

R-Truth and Shelton are quality black wrestlers. they should bring back Elix Skipper too and feud with Rey Rey or something. Plus he can work with Sydal, Christian and all the smaller guys.
When i say quality rassler i mean in all facets.. not just doing high jumps and a bunch of spots.. shelton cant promo, cant work a crowd.. cant get people into his fukking matches unless hes jumping off a ladder.
kofi does everything shelton does.. better even.. his promo is getting there and he can get the crowd into his matches.. the other negro rasslers should take notice and try to learn..
kufi also wears a blackface logo on his trunks proudly

theres not a whole lot a quality black rasslers guys.. kofi is the only one.

It took alot of work to get Kofi here and almost two years of protection. He's not really that impressive...they just got Orton laying down for him. We'll see how consistent this stays the second half of 2010.
