What you running with?
I'm looking to finally get myself the engine by the middle or end of the summer but.
Looking for a 350 engine - nothing major since its gonna be a cruiser.
i have a rebuilt 350 engine in it.
ive got alot of minor ish to do to it, thank god the engine is not one of them.
biggest thing ive done on it is rebuilt the tranny and replaced my front end suspension.

How much do they normally run?
i couldnt tell ya man, when i got the car for my 16th birthday everything was already done, but i didn't maintain the car like i should have (didnt have the money for the constant fixing) and it went down hill.
kartel, you do much highway driviing in los? if so, you would be much better suited getting a 200r4 or 700r4, both are overdrive tranny's....you might have to modify your crossmember and/or drive shaft.....
a 350 down here in texas can run you maybe 200-300 bones....dude i know has them for cheap for 150 but you might have to rebuild them....
i am currently working on a 1983 Olds Cutlass Supreme w/ T-Tops, virtually no aftermarket support for these cars body-wise, so some **** i gotta scavenge....305 thats probably going to get replaced for a LS1 or 350....200r4 off a grand national......iroc wheels......G-Bodies is where its at....currently working on HID lighting....
theres plenty of forums you can work on, you aint getting much help here...

Aren't 700r4 trannys for racing?
I won't be doing much highway driving though. I know a place where I can get a TH350 for about $500 ready to install.
And Im signed up at the camaro forum but I rarely post there because I haven't fully started working on my car.
Na man....700r4's can be found on chevy trucks.......there are some companies out there making racing 700r4's and 200r4's......the kinda power you gonna be making on the camaro w/ 350 you will be straight with either.....TH350 doesnt have overdrive, and i cant see myself atleast driving anything without overdrive....you gonna have to get on that highway one day or another....
Get on the camaro forum and start doing some research man....even if you aint doing nothing to your ride, get more info on different setups people are running, get opinions, etc. good luck

thanks for the advice. I did enought research that I am now gonna get myself an one of the r4s (overdrive). The price was reasonable with them ranging from 500-1000 from what I found. there were aspects that I didn't get so I will continue with the research.
