man, I hate that lag. Last night I was watching the football game, baseball and wrestling, and I was trying to swtich between them all and sometimes it took like 5 secs after I hit the "prev" channel button to register, then another few secs for it to finally switch to the channel
That's my only problem with DirecTV for real. I seriously could not go back to having non-HD channels at this point. And I keep DirecTV since my local cable company doesn't offer NBA League Pass.

thats because of the DVR where you can pause live TV.
It all depends on what you want it for. I like Living in NJ and still be able to watch the local channels on the west coast. I love watching all of my NFL team's games in HD when i'm not in their market. I love being able to pause/record shows. I was hesitant to get it because everyone says it goes out when it rains but it rarely has and it basically takes a big thunderstorm for it to happen.

Cablevision got the lag too when changing channels, sloooooooooooooooooooow as ****
only thing I liked about comcast was there barely was a lag when access the guide menu and changing channels but they are missing a ton of HD channels that cablevision got.
My boy has DirectTV and the only reason he got it was for the NFL games.

And as far as going back to non HD tv watching... I can't do it. I'm so use to watching HD that watching a regular TV feels like watching an analog TV with the rabbit ears and two knobs.

Not to mention SD usually looks horrible on HDTV's.

Yeah, my pops always complains about the remote lag.
I hear that ATT UVerse sh!t is fast as fukk though. I actually sat in on one of their presentations before, only thing is, they're expensive as fukk.
man, I called at&t right before I moved, and they was like they only got u-verse in two areas in the whole chi. and its not really in any suburbs. you gotta go in northwest indiana to get u-verse these days. and it might take a couple years they were telling me
right now, I got a comcast special for the next 6 months which gives me all the channels for $85.......
after that, I think i'm cancelling the movie channels cuz dexter, curb, entourage, weeds, and all the good sh*t will be off air.
Directv does have on demand. What are yall talkin about?
yep,you have to have the box hooked up to the net tho its okay but they need to get more hd content imo and they have software you can download to your pc and watch programs that are recorded on the hd dvr I am happy with directv for the most part
Aint shyt fukking wit U-verse too bad the shyt is so expensive and has very limited locations where they got it
Directv got way too many channels although im kinda gettin used to it I dont think I'll ever memorize all them shyts. They got sports packages on lock tho.
