Well damn if thats the case I ain't gonna argue with ya. I'm a big Macross and Robotech fan myself. One of my favorite series this year is Macross Frontier.

that ruto sasghey fight scene is overated. the animation is dope, but shadow clone torpedos!?!?!corn. kima vs rock lee, sasghey vs oro in the exams, neji vs spider dude all >>>>>>.......anyway.
this moviee might be the best 'anime movie' of the year. i havent seen any noise about any other anime movie, but if you bring in series, then this movie aint fukin wit alot of the series that are out, but movies aint really in the same vein as series jawns.
I mean peoples tastes vary. Some people only like Seinen, some people only like Shounen.
I like a mixture of both. It's very easy to hate on Naruto and Bleach as they are two of the more popular series that are out right now, other than maybe One Piece. I'm not really looking for realism in an anime to begin with so that's first and foremost. If I want realism I'll watch motion picture. Code Geass is good though because some of the issues they dealt with in the first season was some real sh*t...but then the corporate suits got ahold of it and ruined the whole storyline...
I dunno about this movie...I have'nt seen it yet but best anime this year is a stretch. Best anime movie maybe....
