If you happen to occasionally wear suits or business casual clothes, please hit the damn gym. A dude in either with a sloppy build is just as bad as seeing a woman that is not toned in tight clothing. Exercising your back, shoulders, and neck also improves your posture and overall impact in nice clothes.

Yup. And buy white t's to wear underneath that fit. I'm 6'3" and an XL fits me like it's supposed to. So there's no need for shorter dudes wearing my size.

Also, invest in a leather day planner and quality pen. The pen does not have to be gold plated or anything. Nothing worse than seeing a dude that, maybe, knows how to dress.... walk into a meeting or interview with a spiral notebook and Bic pen. You can't efficiently take notes on a Blackberry, which IMO the majority of people with them do not really need to begin with.

I'ma bout to take it to the next level..

The key to making chicks grab they crotch with your suit game is the tie.. If you have an electrifying tie game, you are murking shyt..You rock like a lite gray suit with like a lite green, pink or yellow tie, it's wrap..

Spring in NY is gonna be fiyah.

Yup! The tie should be the centerpiece of the whole thing. the shirt is the backdrop, but the tie is what really makes it happen. I have never really cared for striped ties though. I usually only wear a tie once or twice a week, just to switch it up.

My tees aint dingy... I aint neva said that.
I wear alot of tee-shirts though. Have about 200 tees.. and buy/get like 5 a week, because of the business I'm in. I always wear nice jeans, and sneakers to match the tees. I actually gets lots of compliments.... but it's a different field of work. If I came here wearing a sweater, they'd think I went batty-boy or had a job interview elsewhere.

Thanks man. For casual gear, just white sneakers (preferably Cons or Adidas), jeans or khakis, and a plain or horizontal polo shirt, or striped button up. I also have a pair of black casual shoes that look nice with slacks or jeans. Gym shoes are just for that.... the gym or hoop court.

Tip: for my polo shirts I usually buy XLs. I have long and vascular arms (for some reason women seem to really like veins.....). So if the sleeve hits at about 3/4 my biceps, that's perfect for me, because that's a complimentary feature.

I also hang dry all of my shirts and rarely dry clean. Dudes that dryclean everything are really doing too much. Read the labels. Even when I was in the service I never dry cleaned my dress whites, and passed every single inspection with flying colors.

good looks homie

ive always been a bit reluctant to rock button ups in a casual situation. I got a lot of good ones i where when I go out but don't give them much wear other than that. I think ill give one a go later this week. My T-Shirt game is good (tho a bit casual) but my polo game is wack :thumbsdow...i need to invest in some good lacoste/ralph lauren polos and some new sneakers

lol! Why is that? My white shirts, yeah always. But unless the label says otherwise, that ish is taking a dip in some arm and hammer or gain detergent on the cold cycle.

Tip: also learn how to shine your damn shoes. The kits are like 20 bucks at your local Walgreens.

I take everything to the Dry Cleaner, so I'm biased, all that harsh washing them prolonged iron contact ain't a good look.

Neither are all of those chemicals. But if your wardrobe is long, that decreases the wear and tear in either situation anyway.

Maybe I should start doing that with my slacks. I'm tall and self conscience about pants length. I have a few pairs of slacks that I'm getting the hem adjusted for this reason.

I also have those Scottie Pippen arms, lol.

If I were you I would buy navy blue and black.

You don't need them in your business but I'm sure you DJ one or two grown and sexy events.

You can rock almost any shirt if you have those colors

c/s what jigga said about the colors, black and navy are safest and can match almost any shirt

most important thing with a blazer is making sure the fit is right. certain labels may fit right off the rack, others may need some tailoring. it's worth spending up for one that fits better and/or getting it altered properly. nothing worse than seeing someone wearing a blazer that's the wrong size or sleeves longer than the person's arms.

thats wassup. i'm a club dj but i'm also the music director for a jazz station. we have different events, gala's, concerts, and stuff that i'd love to rock a blazer to but don't know how to pull it off lol.

so are we talkin polo shirts or button down shirts? dress shoes or casual joints?

sounds good. i have no problems with getting it tailored because i'm skinny with some long ass arms and most shyt don't really fit me off the rack.

imo, the best way to make sure something fits right (especially if you're an unusual fit) is to have a tailor make something for you.

depends on wear you go, fabric you use, etc.

it can get expensive but so are really good ones off the rack.

prob anywhere from $500 - thousands. but if you get black or navy they're extremely universal and you can wear them with anything from jeans and a t shirt to slacks and a button down.
