I never really gave duke a listen before until I peeped that commercial. I thought it was TV on the Radio at first. That's a serious song. It fit the commercial perfectly. I guess I threw this thread up not for any one particular reason, other than to say it's dope, but also do any of you have a problem with this particular song used on a Nike commmercial? If so, explain. The Youtube comments lead me to believe that his die-hard fans have a problem with this.

I'm not really a big fan of Saul Williams but I just looked the song up the other day when it came on during the tournament. Dope, dope, dope song. I wonder how the rest of the album is.

The song being used in the Nike commercial doesn't really bother me. It is sort of ironic though.

That's pretty much my sentiments as well. I would have never heard this had it not been for the Nike joint. The chit just grabbed me by the collar, like I HAD to know who it was. I had pretty much gave up on anything new, and just assumed my music collection had reached it's peak. I was wrong. It's relatively old too, like 2004" if I'm not mistaken. I dont know how I missed that back.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt about it. I thought it was going to be like an old old rock n roll joint and was kind of surprised it was by dude. I've never really given him any credit but I'll probably check out the record and his new one off the strength of the song.
