All I really read, is horror fiction

I'll break it down like this

Stephen King - IT is a really great book, I highly recommend it, wouldn't call it the best though

There is a 3 Book Trilogy out right now by David Wellington that deals with zombies taking over the world, very graphic, very gory, very disturbing, my kind of book : )
Monster Planet, Monster Nation, Monster Island are the names
He also has another trilogy going around, deals with vampires
those are 13 Bullets, and 99 Coffins (he got alot of e-books as well)

Recently I been reading Mick Farren Vampire Books, The Victor Renquist Quartet
"Time for Feasting, Darklost, More Than Mortal, The Underland" got 2 out of 4 down in the last week...

The novelizations of the 30 Days of Night series are pretty good, I read both of those

I don't f*ck with Dean Koontz, his sh*t bores the hell out of me, he's like a wanna be stephen king.

Oh yea, I polished off this other book in like 2 days, what was it called...um...
Mindnight Mass, it was about vampires that pretty much took over the world and they have this systematic way of doing it....pretty sick sh*t

All i've read since I was a kid is horror novels. And I must say the scariest, best written novel I've read is "Phantoms" by Dean Koontz. It's the best book he ever wrote and not like his other books. There's been a movie made bout the book that's pretty accurate too.

Even though I've read most of Stephen King's early books, I never read "It"...

Have you ever read this collection of Zombie stories? http://www.amazon.com/Book-Dead-John-Skipp/dp/055327998X

I never would read Dean Koontz because I HATE his style, but for some reason when I was pregnant with my youngest son I got addicted to his books! I went through a bunch of them...

I used to buy Goosebumps books for the covers and because everyone else collected them. The only one I read was the one with that green shrunken head on the cover.

I DID, however, read the ones that later came out where you could choose where to go next and it would provide you two choices with different page numbers.

horror books/movies are so dull.......

i mean, ive tried time and time to get into one, or get into a movie, i just cant, none of it shakes my sense, or anything..... i really might consider writing a real horror book about the dead bodies in my basement and the shadows who talk to me and stalk me and intrude my dreams......i dont know, maybe...

i mean, would i be jailed if i wrote a book about the family of mexicans i abducted because i believed their son shot my friend? i mean all i did was slit their fathers throat and cooked him while he was bleeding to death in my basement while his family watched in horror, then i feed his remains to them and made them suffer off of his body as a food source for about 2-3 weeks, then i intruded the mother while she was sleeping and ripped her eyes out of her sockets *ahh those eyes are so squishy!* and fed them to the kids and then chopped her up alive infront of her two kids while they screamed and cried........ i then let her remains rot and it created quite a stench for the kids to enjoy and savor in!

i then took the 8 year old son and threw him in a pot that was over 4thousand degrees of boiling water, and watched him scream in pain as his skin peeled off slowly, but surely, though it didnt kill him, it was very amusing, i ended up slicing his muscles off and left him to bleed to death.

the 12 year old daughter is still alive...well....maybe not anymore hehe! i hung her in the middle of my room so when i wake up i have something to look at, though it may be the decayed hanging corpse of a girl, its quite amusing.... i plan to cut her head off and hang it on my wall as a trophy......gotta keep memories!

I wanna see what you thought of it for sure.

I was surprised as hell that it was as good as it was.

Apparently Max Brooks (the author) is Mel Brook's son.

Yeah, that Mel Brooks

Was reading stephen King in middle school, I would tell the girls with the R.L. Stine to upgrade...they would just

IT was good but so was the Stand and the Skeleton Crew collection of short stories, which has the story the movie the Mist was based on. Dark Half is like that too. I admit I havent read horror book in 8-9 years.

Agree or disagree?

have you read The Dark Tower series, because IT is linked to the series.
I didn't get the turtle refs in this book/movie AT ALL until I read the latter books of the Tower. Essentially, there are "beams" that connect all worlds, even the worlds of books, and IT is one of the books that the Dark Tower series is largely based on (like The Stand and Insomnia).
