Is that a detriment or not? Had to take the past 4 days off from the gym.... went to work out today on only 3 hours of sleep and big can of canned salmon... chest workout wasn't impressive at all today... actually.. just my incline DB press... normally i'm able to start off with 55's, but that just wasn't happening today... Chest if my favorite day to workout on... just wanted some reassurance that I wasn't able to make any gains today due to my lack of sleep and not really eating well/heavy the past couple days... would it have been better to just have taken another day off, make sure i get plenty of rest and food to attack hard tomorrow? Really just didn't wanna take a day off...used today mostly to practice form and flexing... i should feel my normal strength in my upper body come back next time, right?

If its a one time thing ain't nothing wrong, just gonna be a ****ty workout.

I wouldn't make it a habit.

yea man, if you a gym rat or work out atleast 3x a week you need a good 7-8 hours of sleep a night....I know most ppl on here are night owls up all hours till like 3 am but just strive for 7-8 and u should be fine.....

Sleep is when your body rests and rejuvenates and when all your muscles get repaired....its also the time that growth hormone (GH) gets released the most....
