The Event Horizon
I lye and I wait
I wait and I lye
What happens next?
I may wake up and die
If I die would I cry?
Would my eyes be dry?
Earth has become hell
To me it’s no surprise
Trapped in existence
Tethered by reality
Can I get a witness?
Why I notice mortality?
Wars all around, pain all over
I blind myself, never ever sober
Revolutionary could I be?
Early death I could see
Bowing out before my time
In an ending so sublime
Young people abroad, die in vain
Elders at home, think we’re insane
Censor us, along with all the vice
Maintaining the status quo,
has it’s price
Backwards world of mine
So much hate for my mind
They think things are fine
Sadly staying oh so blind
The poor stay forgotten
In the land of opportunity
A *****’s life’s so rotten
Statistic I’m sure to be
Conflicted by two sides
The wants and the gives
Want to save everyone,
but don’t care who lives
Until then I’ll listen on
To the stupor of my kind
The vexation of the elders
The endless questions in my
mind
Straddling the fence for now
My falling in won’t be surprising
As I watch everything, on the
edge of the Event Horizon
I lye and I wait
I wait and I lye
What happens next?
I may wake up and die
If I die would I cry?
Would my eyes be dry?
Earth has become hell
