hello everyone, im brand new to the board, i posted a couple of my songs in the spot, and i was encouraged to come post here also, i am a no name producer who works with a few local rappers in the bay area. I know I love getting feedback on my songs, but to make things easier, how about everyone post their song and ill listen to it and try to give my opinion, its not so much my opinion matters, but wouldnt you rather know someone is out there trying to listen? when i get around to it ill check this place every couple of days and try to get to it. Zshare is blocked at my job, so when im sitting at home ill definately give a listen, so in the mean time, here are a couple i posted.

about 2 1/2 years. i use fruity loops, soundforge and an MPC, however sometimes i get lucky and get a chance to edit **** in a studio with pro tools HD. i have alot of old vynil though, i was a dj before i was a producer. im not really the kind of person who digs for samples, alot of the music i sample is stuff i know in and out from my own collection, i really enjoy the music i sample from, so i try my best to do justice to the samples i use if that makes sense.
thats an outstanding remix of the come up, seriously.

Thanks...
I've been a DJ a long azz time..I started as a battle dj & then club & mixtape dj..Now I'm a bedroom dj..lol.. starting making beat maybe like 3 years ago.. I use hardware sometime FL..
cole cash, you seem to have a great attitude about music... welcome
i think in the first one you should just drop the cricket sound it doesn't add nor will i subtract anything
the second beat is HOT, are you able to drop the vocals though? i think you should just have the vocals for the intro and the chorus or something.
the beats sound REALLY clean too man props I like your style.

I agree, the vocal sample gets pretty repetitive...if you can drop it and only use it for the chorus, it'll sound better

Been doing this about as long as you. Here is a beat I made last year.

Trying to find my version of the sample used on your 2nd beat but can't remember what the sample is named. (That's the way I organize my beats)

on the second beat its a song by barbara mason "give me your love".
the song you made last year sounds very good, i cant think of anything in particular that i would add or subtract or make it better, its great the way it is, the way the vocals pitch, the beat makes the rapper in this instance.

thank you, everyones taste is different, but clicking on someones song and giving them a listen is a compliment, even if you dont feel the vision i had, thank you for your input. some songs are better when they have an MC, i think that second song is like that definately.
