i does for me... but i dunno it might have to do with the fact that i'm always listening to something (music, podcast, or audiobook) while i'm working out

Anytime you exert energy in a positive fashion, it will definitely help

I think its become like a drug for me. I think my brain starts to release endorphins when Im working out because I get like a high of sorts. But like others said there are still some things i cant get off my mind.

It helps. I usually go hardest when I'm trying to get something off my shoulders. And just the opposite if I ain't going through nothing. Friction in ya life is a good thing.

Is this sarcasm? Everything you listed is a fact. Your brain does release endorphins while you're working out.

The only thing that keeps me from punching a few people out sometimes is the treadmill. I release all my anger/stress etc from work on it and then go home and can smile at people.

exercise is a very good way to keep ur mind off things, but will also help if you engage in a range of activities that will require the use of your mind and maybe the participation of others (team sport etc). also try to change the environment you're in from time to time, it's a good way to seperate your personal and social life at leats a little bit.

What are endorphins?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endorphins

Simply put they're chemicals your brain releases that make you feel good. Actually the same chemicals released when you bust a nut.

The more endorphins released the stronger you get...which is why people should always do compound lifts like squats and deadlifts because they release the most endorphins stimulates muscle growth all over your body.

So little did you know that during your leg days you're actually making your chest stronger too.

yeah I zone out and enjoy the lifting/music on my mp3

also when I'm on the treadmill (the usual one I go on) there's that one machine (don't know what it's called but you put your arms, flexed at the elbows, on the pads and lift your legs in the air) directly facing me, and I'll stare right through them without blinking.

man swimming is the most carthartic thing in my life right now..a total destresser...i'd goes nut without it. and swimmers high is very similar to runners high...endrophines going nuts at the end of a workout > any drug or drink.
