Any Bass Players In Here?

What's a good starter bass you'd recommend? I'm in the $100-$150 range....tried the Squier Bronco the other day and I didn't like the way it felt...too much buzz and rattle...i mean it's only $150 but there's gotta be something better in that range...thanks

All instruments gonna sound twangy and bright when you first get them. Is that what you mean?

In any case, get an Ibanez GSR bass It's what I started with and Ibanez is known for making bass with high end features but at cheap prices. For 100-150 I doubt you gonna get anything good if it isn't an Ibanez. Maybe a Yamaha will do as well.
