"it was all a dream, i used to read word up magazine"
"it was all a dream, i used to read word up magazine"
I used to think that myself but cats told me that only implied to the first verse.

He was happy 'cause he got a cash advance. Tens of thousands or a hundred thousand seems like a mil to a nygga from the hood.

Big used to push weight.
But it's hardly all he talked about.

He was rich. The dude was from the hood with absolutely nothing to being able to buy anything he wanted
You must no nothing about people going from nothing to something.

The point of that whole album was him talking about where he came from and how he was feeling. People from the hood are mad at the world and that's what he was getting at with this album
He really never said much about coke on the album anyway. He talked about the hustling that he did but never really said the word coke.
Go back and listen to the album again

Do you listen to Ready To Die wondering why people don't like Jeezy?Just enjoy the album. There is no shortage of creativity, lyricism, and content on it.
Biggie raps about making it out of the hood, the way things have become as opposed to the way they were, jealousy and envy, the things greed and hunger will make you do, weed of course, the drug game, both good and bad, suicide, women, partying, his twisted idea of love, relationships, and being killed among other things.
If you want to lump this all up as coke raps, then you should probably listen to the Clipse' albums, then listen to Jeezy, and THEN listen to Ready To Die again. It's on a completely different vibe. It's MUCH deeper than that.
