Greetings from the IC. I see yall are really stressing over this battle. I mean yall have some hot cats as far as I can see, but we also have hot peeps over there. Keep in mind, AHH hasnt been the same in the Fresh Produce section since they shut it down/upgraded. Before the upgrade, the FP section was jumping. I guess the old peeps moved on to other forums or something. Thats not an excuse though, we still got lots of cats that can do the damn thing. Hopefully yall will work out the kinks/rules, cuz right now it just feels rushed. IMO

What up ya'll...sorry I haven't been able to update ya'll on my situation, but I haven't been able to work on any beats in the past few days. My computer crashed a day after Tek announced I was gonna make a soul sampled beat and now I can't access anything on my computer. I have now lost over 300 albums, over 1000 songs I picked randomly to sample from, over 1000 samples I had personally cut myself to work work with, and like over 200 beats. Sorry ya'll, but I can't even begin to wonder what the hell I'm going to do now. Hopefully I can take the drive somewhere to have the data files rcovered, but I know of know one or anywhere to take it to...guess I'll have some researching to do.
^^^^ Double T keep your head up man...a few years back i had like about 120 beats saved on my laptop and no where else. I went to my g'ma's house for christmas and someone stole my car with all my stuff in it [booksack, xm radio, laptop, clothes, family presents and stuff i got for xmas] and then they total wrecked my car within a hour of taking it. I can honestly say back then i was so motivated [my and my partners], but we lost some good work and it's been hard since. Then when it happened my hard drive went down on me and i had to get it replaced....I lost all my beats and music again...but i lucked up and one of the guys in this local PC repair show was able to retrieve some of the files ... so hold out on hope...even if you can't get someone locally to do it.....try www.gillware.com they do data recovery but those places can get very expensive...but dude at the shop was able to just link my hd up to a machine and pull some files from it....good luck

Yeah man, thanks. I have been reading about this Knoppix Linux Live CD that I can d/l and boot up on. It says I can just plug in an external hard drive and boot from cd and it will just let me retrieve all of my data files. Hopefully it is just an os problem and i can get all of my files. I'm going to be so relieved if this works because i have years of work on my internal hard drive. So much work it would be kind of hard to try to remember how all of my beats were made. The messed up thing about this situation is that I wanted to back up all of my files a few days before my drive had crashed, but I left my external drive and blank cds I just bought at a friends house where we just set up studio equipment, and I had no idea this would would just have to happen before I got the chance to back them up...Hopefully once this is done I can show ya'll the beat I working on before it crashed. I swear, I was gonna crush whomever I was gonna battle from AHH :laugh:
Well, I get at ya'll later...hopefully with all my files intact next time.
