word.

i get lighter breads, whole grain 40 cal/slice breads.. ezekiel and health nut are great breads, but not the lowest in carbs or calories.. and la tortilla factory makes whole grain, 50 (FIFTY!) calorie wraps in various flavors - LOVE 'em.

again, great list. too bad the fellas.. er, i mean folks.. who are creatively/cooking challenged can't enter this grocery list into some kind of online recipe generator. still a great starting point.

typically its suggested that you stay away from those quick variations because of nutritional stripping, plus the taste and texture and the worst!

I figured that. But that brown rice takes ALL DAY to cook. Like an hour. Who has that kind of time...

Yeah, that 45 mins is a mofo to wait for. I can't even front on that. But in the grand scheme of things, it's worth it.

one thing i do is every weekend i buy 1 cantaloupe, 1 honeydew melon, 1 watermelon, and a 1 lb. of strawberries and rasberries. chop them all up and throw them in a big tupperware container to have fresh mixed fruit all week. i get tired of bananas, apples, & oranges real quick. also sometimes i buy a pineapple in place of one of the melons which is also great.

Well, I only got a little over $20 a week to spend. So I gotta be like Chris Rock on In Living Color when it comes to grocery. I know what to buy but the healthy stuff is real expensive. Just have to make due till I get the funds.

I generally don't even keep food around cuz I will probably eat it all in the 1st 2 days. I don't eat that much usually but if I have some food already prepared I crush it. and I can't/don't like to cook. I eat peanut butter and jelly or rice broccoli and chicken (pre cooked rotisserie joint from the store) pretty much every day during the week. On the weekend I'll switch up and buy something like Chipotle...
