Spent several hours messing around with it, tried to chop up some samples, this is what I came up with:

Please let me know what you think. This is my first time trying to make beats, so any feedback welcome!

Anything more specific?
First and foremost work on your sound quality. Play with the eq's, master eq's and various effects. Keep your music Loud and out of the red. Peaking is not the business. I use the same program. Nothing else accept a keyboard sometimes. Heres my sh1t.

Some of the ish is a year old but itll give u a good contrast in sound quality as i took my sh1t more serious.

i'm impressed that those are the first beats you've ever done. the samples, chopping and melody are nice.
i guess the sound could use quality improvements, it does sound thin.
stiil, good work
