I wanna lose some weight but I don't wanna give up drinking on the weekends. I know drinkings nothing but calories, carbs and sugar but i don't smoke weed and need to do soemthing on the weekend. I already lift 3-4x a week and run 1-2x a week. Do I need to give up drinking to?

Let me see if I can convince you to give up drinking (as a regular weekend thing)

Here is a question for you. There are three things which the body converts to calories for energy that everybody knows. Protein, Carbs and Fat, but there is a fourth that the body also converts to energy which is easily the worse thing you can do for your body, do you know what it is?

Yea you are right alcohol is nothing but carbs and sugar basically thats why ppl who drink alot be gettin those beer belly's.....
I drink maybe once a month now.....i cant be bothered goin out every fri/sat night gettin hammered because
a) i feel like **** the next day and get nothing done
b) just not good for ya, esp if you workin out....

did u know some drinks like a long island iced tea(with all those diff alcohols) has like 500 calories in it!?!?

Dead calories are the dieters worst companion (don't know if i could implement the term companion; it's that malignant).

But i feel the op. I don't smoke or partake in any other forms of stimulus-inducing paraphernalia. Real talk.

The only substance that will grant me solace and sanity for the weekends is booze. Shiit. Problem with a fella like Salad is that i tend to binge drink my ass off.

It's been deduced to a once-a-week activity.

Yeah, major downsides during a nights-long binging extravaganza is usually followed with foods that i wouldn't normally ingest during the week (i mean shiit, i'm inebriated, my choices are seldom on point as it is - cheeseburger gonna be scarfed down irregardless, fam).

Another disadvantage is the groggy/droopy/nauseated feeling the day after. It's like blueballs for your brain, but non-sexual.

I'm getting shiitfaced this weekend though.

Superbowl is just another reason to join in the festivities of consuming spirits in high-excess.

Start drinking this instead of beer or whatever sweet sh*t you drinking

Vodka and soda. Soda, not tonic. That's only about 50 calories per drink from the vodka.

Problem with a bytch like femme is that i tend to binge drink my ass off.

like nalej said, find those low-cal, low-carb drinks and stick with those - if you just HAVE to drink. the vodka and diet tonic w/ lime is a good one, and also bacardi & diet cola w/ lime.. both about 50-60 cal/drink.

some of the more popular drinks are so laden with calories, it's disgusting. i love a good pina colada w/ fresh coconut milk and pineapple, but :( @ the calories.

a light beer only has about 100 calories in it. i still drink beer all the time but i include it in my weekly caloric intake. over the week, i make sure i average 2700 calories a day.

whats probably most important is the fact that when your body is converting alcohol...its not converting fat. alcohol will slow down your metabolism.

I use a Vaporizer btw so my lungs are still all good

I see no other responses pertaining to this so I'll just answer for the masses.....it is muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories you'll burn.

i stopped drinking beer, and will have an occasional (1-2 a month), bottle of rum with a diet coke....only time i actually drink pop

Sorry kid, I just saw this response. We all know that there are three things that the body converts to energy use, either for mechanical or chemical purposes, and they are:

Fat
Carbohydrates
Protein

The forth is alcohol. Alcohol itself gets converted for energy and thus is added calories. So, essentially, even if people drink an alcoholic beverage, especially hard liquor, they are doing more damage than they know besides killing brain cells.

how much did u pay for yours, and where did u buy it? Im quitting smoking trees because of the whole smoking thing. Can u give me a referral to a good vaporizer seller?
