i'm sorry, but n*ggas was mad when souljah boy said something back to GZA after GZA dissed him, but let's be real. . . GZA ain't been hot since "Liquid Swords", which came out when i was like 8 or somethin!
souljah boy, whether you like it or not, has changed the face of music forever. . . when people look back in history, he's gonna be mentioned b/c of that damned song and for the fact that he single handedly changed how to market and promote an artist.
let's not forget that, right now, he's the all time best selling digital artist w/ over 3 million digital copies of "Crank That" sold. . . lil homie is gettin checks left and right.

did you just say when people look back in HISTORY???
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
why the fukk would soulja boy even be remembered 10 years from now?
throw in the next gimmick.....forget about the old one.
WHAT? Souljah Boy is NOT going to be remembered for changing the face of hip hop.
souljah boy, whether you like it or not, has changed the face of music forever. . .
How? By making a dance song? He did a dance track. Just like Chubby Checker and "The Twist". It goes no further than being a catchy pop hit.

Souljah Boy will be mentioned b/c of one song....Gza had a classic album (by critical and public standards, not my own). As well as GZA's group the Wu Tang, who actually change the way deals were set up (Group+solo deals for each member). Of course, Wu Tang also changed the sound of music, that can't be argued.
Souljah Boy is def getting checks right now, but would you say he is ON TOP? Hell no, Wu Tang was def. on top of all hip hop in their prime. They made millions- believe it.
Gza is far more monumental in hip hop than SB will EVER be.
Im not a Wu **** handler either, I just thought this post was obsurd
If Liquid Swords came out when you were 8, so what? What does that have to do with the quality of the album? Man you should do your research before getting on an artist.....
Souljah Boy's dissing a pioneer!
for our era, this would be like Mobb Deep ****ting on KRS or sumthin like Fabolous ****ting on Kool G Rap......no respect for the forefathers

if you read it, i didn't say he changed the face of hip hop. . . i said MUSIC. soulja boy paved the way for a group like radiohead to even think about releasing their music online for free. . . and seeing how much of a success it was.
soulja will be the face of the digital music revolution. say he isn't, and you're just a hater.

public standards? how much did that album sell? riiiiiiiiight. . . .

then why the FUKK is GZA in alaska somewhere comin at a 17 year old for making music for HIS OWN age bracket?
the problem i had was that n*ggas think these "pioneers" can say anything b/c they were hot back when my older brothers were in middle school. . . .
GZA came outta left field and decided to diss a kid, and i thought it was stupid. . . if you say soulja boy has not had an impact on music, you're a damn fool. . . the kid got a deal off myspace, marketed it like a pro, and is reapping the benefits. at 17
GZA stepped outta line.

Truth be told: I was embarrassed when I saw the GZA Youtube diss! totally unnecessary. As for 50 Cent, GZA will eat is food anyday. ***** ain't had a dope album since 'Get rich.....' wanna-be-pop-star 50 Cent

Gza sold around 700k on his second album, I am sorry but Soulja Boy will not have a second album, nor will anyone care about him after this hit he had.. Gza also part of several Wu albums that went double or more (Forever 5 times), Soulja boy in history????? NOPE. He is a clown. He will be done very soon.
