Damn,
You know what gets me mad? We see all these celebrities and athletes and superstars with these ill defined cut up bodies and we're like how can we have that?
then we find out they're all on HGH or steroids......its ****ed up man...
50 Cent, Mary J Blige, **** even Sly Stallone just admitted he used HGH while filming the new Rambo movie and dude is 61 years old!.....
And you saw how Timbaland's big ass tightened up? HGH.....
Damn, Roger Clemens, Shawn Merriman, Miguel Tejada, Rodney Harrison, all these NFL and Baseball players.....
I don't think anyone does it the natural way anymore.....

Diet and exercise but many of those celebs careers are based off of what they look like/performance so they use any means necessary to get results.
I know plenty of people on drugs that look like shyt and I know many that are natural that look good. It still all boils down to diet and exercise
It boils down to money too, lots of those celebs wouldn't be nice and cut without expensive personal trainers and nutrionists. I doubt they need to read fitness and muscle mags like most of us.

also they got all day to work out where as regular people have full-time jobs. And healthy food in general cost 3 times as much as junk foods. Not saying it can't be done but it's def harder.

It's true about the diet being the key ingredient.
I just recently read "The Eat-Clean Diet" and I think the statistic in the book stated that how any person looks overall is = 10% exercise, 10% genes, and 80% is your diet.
I'm not to sure how accurate this is exactly, but I believe it to be close to this. In the past I worked out like a mad man and never really had my diet in check, and didn't have great results to show for it.
Today's a different story. The diet will take the most dedication, but if you serious....you can reach your goals.

Nope. All it takes is hard work and planning.

How many kids at your high school had a six pack even though they ate the same **** as everyone else? Genes is definitely a huge part of it. Some people have to overcome them much moreso then others.
I would say its more like 25% exercise, 35% genetics, 40% diet.
It actually is unrealistic for most people to have a nice and cut body simply because the way the world is built today its unrealistic to expect people to put that much time and effort into their body. Long work days, kids, fast food, stressors, etc are all things that are stacked up against people.
Doesnt mean it cant be done though. You just gotta dig deeper for the inspiration.

I've just never let that kind of mindset get to me, otherwise I'd have never achieved near where I am today.
You're right though, most people WILL let those factors prevent them from their true fitness goals, but there can be balance....if you're determined to find it.

Very true. A $100 @ least for healthy food and I've fallen off from buying it anymore. And I hope the above can be done, b/c I'm trying to get the fat off now and get closer to getting some type of definition. And the fact that I could barely walk today better be worth something.

Athletes are paid to keep their bodies in top shape. If they're slacking, there's someone there that will make them workout.
Like some people in the thread have said, have a plan and if you stick to that plan hopefully you can reach your goal.
An elite body isn't made over night.

Sadly, this is real talk. Some people just have piss poor genetics. It's difficult, but not impossible.
what do you guys mean by bad genetics?
is it that you have a lot of fat people in your family history or genetic codes that make it easier/harder for a person to burn or put on fat and the same with muscle?
props.

Ding! Ding! Ding!
It's a little easier to be in shape when it is your JOB to be in shape or it helps you make money or you have all day to do it.
If you're pulling two shifts at Sears and Best Buy or some shyt and living check to check working out and eating healthy (i.e. expensive) isn't a priority.

Basically.
Ectomorphs = Naturally skinny people who don't gain weight easily, muscle or fat.
Mesomorphs = People with natural athletic builds who put on a lot of muscle easily and lose fat easily.
Endomorphs = Naturally fat people who gain weight in fat easily and don't gain muscle easily.
