i make a large one every day for breakfast. i usually use frozen fruit, b/c it keeps the longest, is cheaper, and tastes just as good.

-light yogurt (1 container - vanilla or fruit variety)

-about 1/2 cup POM juice (i like POM b/c it's very healthier, but any fruit juice is ok)

-2 tablespoons of fat free/sugar free cool whip (makes it MAD creamy and only adds 15 calories)

-about 1 cup (depending on size of fruit) of frozen peaches, berries, etc.. don't get the kind with added sugar, either)

-2 or 3 ice cubes

^^blend it all up and that's a wrap.

do you have a good blender? I think I would make more smoothies if I got a good one. I want a Blendtec but them sh*ts are expensive.

not really. i HAD (past tense) a DOPE blender, but when i moved i didn't take it with me. the one i have now is just a standard $30 proctor silex from the drugstore.

as long as your blender can handle blending ice cubes, it's fine for smoothies.

that trick with the cool whip is tried and true. 2 tablespoons of sugar free/fat free cool whip is only 15 calories, zero carbs and fat, and'll have your smoothies on jamba juice status.

one recipe i really like is to use the mango/pom POM juice, and frozen or fresh mango for the fruit.

also, my recipe for smoothies makes a large smoothie, and it's only around 200 calories, low in carbs if you're making sure to NOT use frozen fruit or juice that has added sugar, and the lite yogurt.

If you want, add 2 tsp. of vanilla whey protein powder and 3 ice cubes.

I drink this every night for dinner, i have a cup when i get home....then i exercise and have a second cup when i'm done. It gives me alot of energy and it's very filling...

˝ cup of OJ (Tropicana since it’s 100% juice you can use any juice as long as it’s 100% juice)

˝ cup of plain low fat yogurt

˝ cup of any frozen fruit

You can vary the kinds of fruits you wanna use...
