View Full Version : Should I wait until the soreness to go away before lifting again...

Keep in mind i haven't lifted weights in 4 years. I started 2 days ago, and i'm still sore as fukk. Should I lift or wait until the soreness is completely gone? I'm lifting heavy weight or just enough to were I can do 3 sets of 7 or 8 reps before i max out.

u probably shouldn't.. the soreness is just the muscles tearing.. that sounds bad, but it isn't really.. just keep on stretching it out.. but hey.. i don't lift..
i just do cardio.. :blush:

If you're still sore, just work out other muscle groups that day. I usually do something like Shoulders, Chest, Biceps and some cardio and abs if I feel like it. Next day Triceps, Back, light cardio/abs. Next day all Leg stuff. Then repeat or throw in an all cardio day or a plain rest if you have to.
