Aside from Catcher in The Rye :king:this has to be my favorite book ever. It's about a retard who is actually writing journal entries. He undergoes surgery that makes him so smart that he is cast out of society more than when he was a retard. But then he starts getting retarded again because the surgery was'nt a complete success due to inadequate studies. To the state where he is worse off than he started. I think the book shows that no matter who you are or what you have become you can still be looked down upon. Good Book. Anyone read this?
*Fvck Oprah I need to make my own damn book club*

one of my favorite books. read it about 3-4 years ago.
it got me interested because my brother is autistic and just to read about the possibility of someone having surgery to cure autism is intriguing.
sh!t got mad depressing though when he relapsed into his old actions and got worse.
