A year and a half ago i was 240 pounds. I have successfully reduced my body weight to 177 pounds in that time. Which is huge. I look better in clothes, girls give me more attention etc etc. However, i still have that layer of fat that will not go away. I lift weights for toning and do 30 mins of cardio every gym session. I guess i am not that informed with the math/stats of losing weight/looking toned so i was wondering if someone could help me out with the following questions:(I am 6'1 for reference)

- What weight do i need to be before i looked toned/lose the gut

- Is it simply genetics and my body will never lose the layer?

- Any tips to increase the rate in which i burn fat; could i be doing something wrong.

In terms of diet: i completely cut sugar drinks out of my diet, i only drink water and a glass or two of 1% milk a day. I do not eat sugar/high startch foods. All of the bread i eat is whole wheat/multi grain. My diet is mostly vegetarian with the occasional lean meat thrown in.

This whole thing is just becoming stupid in my opinion. I have friends that are my height, yet they weigh 5-6 pounds more than i do, yet look slimmer.

You would think losing 63 pounds would be enough...I just don't get it anymore, heh.

Good shiet on the weight loss. It seems like you gotta good routine. The only thing that I could suggest would be to increase cardio to atleast five days a week. Maybe try to change up cardio execises and add weight to your ab routine. Try to eat as little sat. and "bad" fats as possible.

What is your current cardio routine like?

DAMN...63 lb.s? Thats great. Try more vitamins for the rest. If that don't work, I wouldn't really worry too much about it.

Do you do an after workout power drink?

Be sure to get plenty of fatty acids, add olive oil to your protein shake, eat lots of nuts. Fatty acids will actually burn fat. Fatty acids are read as monounsaturated fats or polyunsaturated fats on labels. There's lots of places to get them. Olive oil, fish oil, nuts, avocado, flax seed oil, seeds. An after workout protein shake is important, add olive oil to it of course. Don't eat for 3 hours after your exercise, just drink that.

You might want to do resistance training too as well as cardio, it helps cut down on fat and tone you up.

Good **** on the weight loss man......Congrats....I have a few points for you.....

--Increase your cardio to 5x a week for 30 min each session....anymore than 30min and the fat burning portion dissapears....and you are burning mostly glycogen and carbs instead....
--Have you thought about taking a fat burning pill? ive taken both Hydroxycut Hardcore and Lipo 6 with good results.....you should try that....
--And keep up the weights for the definition and toning part of your workouts.....

Weights increases muscle mass, which in turn, more muscle mass increases your metabolism.....
