I have been having severe issues so I stopped exercising in Aug of '07 and I just did it again yesterday for the first time since. I lost my gym membership and I don't know how good my health will be so I am going to be running on the tredmill and using the bowflex. Before I thought the bowflex was garbage because you only use your muscles pushing / pulling and not releasing too like free weights. Anyone use the bowflex? I am going to use it to get back in the swing of things

If it is good enough for Chuck Norris, it's good enough for me.

The resistance on it is awkward but if you have it use it. The bench on it is pretty sturdy so Id buy some dumbbells also and get the best of both worlds

You're thinking of the Total Gym.

It's better than nothing. More ideal for people who don't have a lot of space. The fitness models, i guarantee you, did not achieve those bodies using only a boflex.

Very true. The Bowflex is fine for casual lifters or people just trying to maintain. Those models they use got their results using free weights and putting in plenty of time.
I just prefer Free Weights over anything else because its PROVEN to show results with proper eating and time. Plus the cost of one of those mutha's are ridiculous, and your limited when it comes to weight.
