View Full Version : Gaining mass for Ectomorphs.....

Whats up y'all this is my first post here so I got some Q's on fitness..?

Ive got an ectomorph build (tall and skinny, long arms) and I can't seem to gain any more mass.....Ive been goin to the gym since last summer (summer 06) and right now I am 6'1, 183 which is decent but I'd like to gain 10-20 more pounds of muscle....

I've been taking various creatines (cell-mass, no explode, etc) and whey protein (syntha-6 and muscle milk) on and off but i think im a non-responder, or im not working out hard enough....bc ive been on my next cycle creatine the past 2 months and havent really gained ****....except maybe water weight....

i go to the gym 3 days a week mon, wed and friday and split my routine b/t those 3 days....

I was thinking of taking cell-tech but that has mad sugar in it....

I heard squats and deadlifts are really good for mass building, maybe i should do more of those?

Have you changed up your routine? Keep your body guessing and yes do squats and deads because they release test in your body and make you gain more mass.

Also, don't make the rookie mistake of fukking with Cell-Tech it's the bullshyt supp. company in the bodybuilding industry although the ads will make a nicca think it's the shyt. You can make your own cell-tech. Take regular creatine mono and add Kool-Aid...That's all it is. If you wanna use it the 6-star creatine they sell in Wal-Mart for $13 is the same shyt as Cell-Tech because it's made by the same company. Keep the protein there is no such thing as a non-responder to protein powder I don't think.

Just stick with it, you probally just hit a wall and need to mix things up a little. Make sure your workouts are intense. Make sure you are getting enough calories even if you have to take in some simple carbs (Don't over do it). I had to learn this because I am an ecto myself.

yea man i change up my routine like once a month....idk if thats often enough some ppl say u should switch every two weeks....

yea some ppl say Cell-tech is bull**** bc its like like mad sugar in it to cause a crazy insulin spike or somethin.....ive been usin BSN cell mass which has like no sugar and have had some decent gains on it....

maybe its my calories...i try to get enough protein but eatin like 6 meals a day or some **** is mad expensive......i eat like 4 meals plus a protein shake which is like 5 i guess....

Don't even bother with creatine... it's a crutch...

I used creatine for like a month and a half... gains were unreal. Stopped using it, I deflated a bit. Since August, I've put on and kept 20# of lean mass, mainly in my legs.

Just lift big (more weight less reps), eat like a pig (large amounts but keep it healthy, no Ho-Hos), cut down on the cardio.

And switching routines is good as well. I switch like every 2 months, when I finally get comfy in a routine. Just keeps things interesting.

:thumbsdow No offense but you are lying. That's would maybe be possible with roids but the human body can't add that much lean mass that quick. You maybe got 8 pounds off muscle (stretching it) and the rest was fat and water.

A lot of it prob. is water weight, but I weighed 155-160 this summer and weigh 180 now, and my stomach and shyt are all the same. Squats + deads went up and stayed, bench went way down since I stopped using creatine, like 15#

Yea is creatine a crutch really though? I heard it has other health benefits besides muscle building (like i heard its good for your heart and ****, and that its good for sprinters bc it increases the ATP in their muscles so they can contract faster and be more explosive....)

What do yall think of that Nitrix oxide **** like NO Explode?

One part of me doesnt wanna put all that high dose chemical **** in my body but then i see ppl who are on it and gain like 10 pounds in a month....

eat well...workout...as you age your metabolism will slow down...i'm a ectomorph 2.....

next why you want to get so damn big?....i box...i never understood how cats can just lift wieghts in a gym all day getting mad big and slow....

Nah man i dont wanna get all big.....but im like 6'1 but im only like 180 but mad fast....id like to gain like another 10-15 lbs.....I wanna have that receiver football physique...tall but mad cut....kinda like a Chad Johnson physique no homo.....
