Teenage days filled wit unforgettable phases
When my lips were unwise lips and spoke un-retractable phrases
Skin of my teeth escapes from winding mazes
R.I.P's on white t's sketched wit decease faces
2007 and we still face racists

For those that say they love you, to turn on you on grounds fabricated and base-less
I tried to walk straight like the affect of braces
And somehow still ended up on forked paths that weren't tha safest
Know too many that were too anxious for dough and caught cases
No patience, and tha judge wasn't gracious
Now its double digit bids just a number and faceless
I dont know any soldiers by name in Iraq stationed
But I know of plenty soldiers under streetlights pacin'
Paranoid but not really carin' bout tha penalties they facin'
But mommas and grandmommas keep prayin' and continually praisin'
