i need some books on basics of investing & managing money for the short/long term. all the books i saw had titles like "make money fast, etc" im not looking for some gimmick book, just a book with sound information...

I would suggest read teh Rich Dad and Poor Dad book from what the guys name.

Then spend time on Internet and you can pick up things faster and better than books.

those 'for Dummies' books are usually good. i got Nutrition for Dummies and the book is on point.

i got Rich Dad Poor Dad from the library. its a good intro book (very dumbed down) and makes you look at the big picture. after the first chapter i skipped towards the later chapters to the good topics.

its a good intro book for anyone without any knowledge about investing. the book starts off slow but it gets better towards the end.
