cam was made vp because jay was leaving with cohen....then was offered the pres position at defjam to stay, as a countermeasure for universal, in the lyor coup'.
the trip to france and overseas was a get some distance between us, corporate sh!t companies who are real corporations do to one another.
jay was fed up with dame, but wasn't man enough to say sh!t...so he violated and tried to back door his partner with cohen. until the main benefactor in the roc movement, universal was like hell to the NO,...you stay put.

Im not really sure about this situation 100%, but after everything I heard about the Roc, it seems like Dame was doing alot of of things to piss Jay off, such as tryna VP Cam, signing ppl to the label behind his back etc...And in the middle of all this ppl at Universal are gassin jay's head by offering him president positions and full control of the ROC to himself..and I think the things that Dame did made it easier for Jay to bite the bait..Jay couldn't stand up to Dame and tell him to stop what he was doing so it was a more settle business way to get rid of Dame(& Biggs)..

I must agree with this statement and suggest this thread be closed I mean without dame jay seems to be doing pretty damn good for just a "rapper" while dame has literally had no accomplishments besides a bet series I mean seriously anybody taking dames side in this last name better be dash hating on jay for being a better businessman than jay is some homo **** and i know some of you probably say dame was the brains but far as im concered he was holding jay back everytime i hear dame talk i think back to where he was on rap city with cam talking about selling his share of rocawear for like twenty or thirty mill and hen a year or so later jay sales it for200 mill even though he didnt pocket all that he still stayed on as chairman and now has purchased artful dodger jay is on some donald trump **** man hes a real businessman not no n$gga making money because their hot in the music industry i see hat same business savvy in fifty and puff but dame its like hes done nothing i mean absolutely nothing since the break up
